ROSSINAVI TO ENTER THE DIGITAL WORLD WITH A NEW INTERACTIVE ONLINE PLATFORM

Viareggio, 28 July 2022 - In its intent to continue on the path of communicating its green vision, Rossinavi is presenting BluE, a new online platform that allows for technological exploration in eco-sustainable yachting.

The Italian shipyard, known worldwide for its manufacturing expertise and know-how in building custom super yachts presents its new 3D online platform, where visitors can interact with the marine environment and discover innovative, futuristic and unique technologies.

This new immersive web experience allows Rossinavi to deepen its vision through augmented storytelling using web-native 3D, sound design and video design, creating an imaginative environment. Here, the virtual ecosystem enhances the beauty of web technology while explaining the process of Research and Development that the shipyard has been implementing for years.

The journey is designed with an eye toward the gaming world as the user dives underwater and travels through a tunnel, searching for 10 gems scattered along the way. Each gem includes 3D video assets that focus on the BluE’s viewing phases.

The experience ranges from marine-inspired environments that are intertwined with their technological interpretation. The milestone path takes the user through a digital experience of pure infotainment, including curiosities and 3D modeling masterpieces.

The end of the virtual tunnel leads the users to discover Oneiric's mini site, where they will be able to see how the BluE vision is applied to the design of the new catamaran concept. The experience will soon include the possibility to visit Sea Cat's mini site, another concept part of the BluE family of superyachts.

Sea Cat designed by Fulvio de Simoni, and Oneiric by Zaha Hadid Architects are the companies’ two latest electric catamaran concepts that perfectly reflect Rossinavi’s BluE vision by combining maximum functionality and comfort with cutting-edge technology. In both designs, three levels of solar panels are integrated; a large battery pack storage enables full-electric navigation in daily use, while an artificial intelligence-driven control center takes care of monitoring energy consumption and suggesting sustainable on-board behaviors that do not inconvenience on-board habits. It also takes care of sensing consumption to preserve battery life and keeping its capacity in its optimal range. Overall, these new catamaran concepts allow for 100% electric sailing on day trips and 80% electric sailing on transoceanic crossings.

This is but a continuation of a vision that began with BluE, The Underwater Experience, presented at Superstudio during Milan Design Week 2022. The exhibition was an opportunity for Rossinavi to present its pursuit of environmental sustainability, technological innovation and sustainable philosophy, driven by a desire to preserve the ocean’s well-being and inspired by phytoplankton - tiny creatures that have inhabited the planet for hundreds of millions of years and that are able to capture daylight to become bioluminescent at night.

Green is a vision, an education that drives us to develop sustainable technologies. It gives us the responsibility to provide the means to best enjoy the sea, immerse ourselves in its natural splendor and respect it”, states Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi.

Through the new online platform BluE, viewers will be able to experience the company’s green philosophy first hand, discover phytoplankton’s role in the marine environments and understand how Rossinavi is taking its love for the sea at heart in the development of its new avant-garde concepts.

From its roots as Cantiere Rossi to its evolution into Rossinavi, founded by the Rossi family, the transformation wasn't merely a name change but a profound shift in philosophy. Rossinavi seamlessly blends theory and practice, rooted in a deep appreciation for history while relentlessly pursuing innovation. Initially specialising in carpentry and repairs in the 1980s, the transition saw a deepening focus on ship construction, marked by technical refinement and innovation. In the early 2000s, Rossinavi entered the luxury yacht market with motor vessels between 40 and 70 meters, emphasising the Made-in-Italy excellence and bespoke craftsmanship. Central to their approach is building relationships with clients, ensuring each vessel reflects the owner's desires. Rossinavi's ethos revolves around full custom, where open dialogue and meticulous attention to detail enrich the construction process, fostering a deep connection between owner and craft.
In the 2020s, Rossinavi continues to push boundaries with its BluE line, prioritising sustainability and environmental responsibility. Inspired by phytoplankton, these vessels aim to revolutionise the concept of cruising, minimising carbon emissions while maximising energy efficiency.
Today, Rossinavi stands as a beacon of innovation and excellence in the world of yachting, continuously evolving to meet the demands of the future.
